Narrative:
Departed private turf runway as indicated. A military mlt Y was performing hover maneuvers. Pilot of mlt Y did not observe my departure although I and a passenger (also a pilot) had contact with mlt Y we passed about 3/4 mi from mlt Y he must have been concerned since later cys app informed me he reported a 'near miss'. Judging from the section lines in the farm land we could have passed no closer than 3/4 mi. After talking to instructor pilot of mlt Y I learned the pilot being checked out was taking the precaution of reporting to avoid a 'bust' on check ride. There was really no near miss and we both agree there was no problem. These things however have a way of surfacing later I just want to inform those responsible for safety so there are no problems in the future. Incidentally I informed casper FSS of the location of my private runway which is used almost everyday.I did that 3 years ago and it still isn't on the charts. The mlt Y pilot says no one knew it was there and they do missions to a missile base only 2 mi from my strip several times a week. It would have avoided this problem, perhaps, had the runway been on their charts.

Title: POTENTIAL CONFLICT BETWEEN GA SMA AND MIL SMA.
Narrative: DEPARTED PRIVATE TURF RWY AS INDICATED. A MIL MLT Y WAS PERFORMING HOVER MANEUVERS. PLT OF MLT Y DID NOT OBSERVE MY DEPARTURE ALTHOUGH I AND A PASSENGER (ALSO A PLT) HAD CONTACT WITH MLT Y WE PASSED ABOUT 3/4 MI FROM MLT Y HE MUST HAVE BEEN CONCERNED SINCE LATER CYS APP INFORMED ME HE REPORTED A 'NEAR MISS'. JUDGING FROM THE SECTION LINES IN THE FARM LAND WE COULD HAVE PASSED NO CLOSER THAN 3/4 MI. AFTER TALKING TO INSTRUCTOR PLT OF MLT Y I LEARNED THE PLT BEING CHECKED OUT WAS TAKING THE PRECAUTION OF REPORTING TO AVOID A 'BUST' ON CHECK RIDE. INCIDENTALLY I INFORMED CASPER FSS OF THE LOCATION OF MY PRIVATE RWY WHICH IS USED ALMOST EVERYDAY.I DID THAT 3 YEARS AGO AND IT STILL ISN'T ON THE CHARTS. THE MLT Y PLT SAYS NO ONE KNEW IT WAS THERE AND THEY DO MISSIONS TO A MISSILE BASE ONLY 2 MI FROM MY STRIP SEVERAL TIMES A WEEK. IT WOULD HAVE AVOIDED THIS PROBLEM, PERHAPS, HAD THE RWY BEEN ON THEIR CHARTS.
