Narrative:
Aircraft X was returning to the airport after delivering a patient to a hospital. During the return flight the pilot observed a #2 hydraulic system fail light. The pilot landed at the nearest airfield without incident. A mechanic was dispatched immediately finding that the #2 hydraulic pump shaft was sheared. The hydraulic pump was replaced and the aircraft was returned to service the aircraft then return without any additional difficulties.

Title: MECHANIC REPORTS ON AN A119 HELICOPTER DIVERTING AFTER A NUMBER 2 HYDRAULIC SYSTEM FAILURE.
Narrative: ACFT X WAS RETURNING TO THE ARPT AFTER DELIVERING A PATIENT TO A HOSPITAL. DURING THE RETURN FLT THE PLT OBSERVED A #2 HYD SYS FAIL LIGHT. THE PLT LANDED AT THE NEAREST AIRFIELD WITHOUT INCIDENT. A MECH WAS DISPATCHED IMMEDIATELY FINDING THAT THE #2 HYD PUMP SHAFT WAS SHEARED. THE HYD PUMP WAS REPLACED AND THE ACFT WAS RETURNED TO SVC THE ACFT THEN RETURN WITHOUT ANY ADDITIONAL DIFFICULTIES.
