Narrative:
Several months ago our procedures for tracking military airspace changed. The previous procedure was simple: zan tmu facsimile'ed a list of military airspace within fai TRACON's jurisdiction. The new procedure involves printing a list of airspace from the internet (http://sua.FAA.government/sua/welcome.do). After some clicking; we print a list of airspace for the entire state of alaska. The problems start when we have to pick through the list to find the airspace within our jurisdiction. Today we missed one and it created a large amount of confusion when zan notified us of the activation of this airspace. We track 7 restr areas; 7 MOA's; a few atcaa's. Several pieces of our airspace are grouped together in order to reduce coordination between fai and zan; but the internet will only list individual pieces of airspace. Solution: the web page is capable of listing airspace assigned to fai; but currently only 2 restr areas meet that description. As it has been several months; I believe that a request to expand the fai list to include all the appropriate airspace was denied.
