Narrative:
Departed from sna after using temporary data for ungrooved runway. After airborne; we realized that the data we used was expired. Informed our dispatch. They looked into it and advised us that the expiration date on the temporary data was a 'typo' and that the data 'was' current. Supplemental information from acn 809914: on departure; we discovered that the data expiration date was jan/08. We contacted dispatch; they contacted flight operations engineering; and they assured us that the data was legal and would update the data expiration date.

Narrative: DEPARTED FROM SNA AFTER USING TEMPORARY DATA FOR UNGROOVED RWY. AFTER AIRBORNE; WE REALIZED THAT THE DATA WE USED WAS EXPIRED. INFORMED OUR DISPATCH. THEY LOOKED INTO IT AND ADVISED US THAT THE EXPIRATION DATE ON THE TEMPORARY DATA WAS A 'TYPO' AND THAT THE DATA 'WAS' CURRENT. SUPPLEMENTAL INFO FROM ACN 809914: ON DEP; WE DISCOVERED THAT THE DATA EXPIRATION DATE WAS JAN/08. WE CONTACTED DISPATCH; THEY CONTACTED FLT OPS ENGINEERING; AND THEY ASSURED US THAT THE DATA WAS LEGAL AND WOULD UPDATE THE DATA EXPIRATION DATE.
