Narrative:
The fueler had a problem with right inboard tank not agreeing with his readings. Apparently it automatic shutoff as if it were full; even though the gauges showed not yet full. At that point; we (the pilots) sent a maintenance required code for electronics log for that fuel issue. Next; we had another unrelated maintenance issue for which we sent another maintenance required code for electronics log. When a new maintenance release printed; it didn't have anything concerning the fuel system issue; so we contacted maintenance control who told us the fueler and operations canceled the fuel problem maintenance required code for electronics log. Nobody informed the pilots it had been canceled and the fuel tank still did not read full as it should have. This is the safety issue: we; the pilots; reported a defect and somebody changed its status without notifying us. If the issue had occurred and been resolved before our involvement; it would be ok. However; once the pilots report something; it ought to show up on the maintenance release so we can know it was addressed.

Narrative: THE FUELER HAD A PROB WITH R INBOARD TANK NOT AGREEING WITH HIS READINGS. APPARENTLY IT AUTO SHUTOFF AS IF IT WERE FULL; EVEN THOUGH THE GAUGES SHOWED NOT YET FULL. AT THAT POINT; WE (THE PLTS) SENT A MAINT REQUIRED CODE FOR ELECTRONICS LOG FOR THAT FUEL ISSUE. NEXT; WE HAD ANOTHER UNRELATED MAINT ISSUE FOR WHICH WE SENT ANOTHER MAINT REQUIRED CODE FOR ELECTRONICS LOG. WHEN A NEW MAINT RELEASE PRINTED; IT DIDN'T HAVE ANYTHING CONCERNING THE FUEL SYS ISSUE; SO WE CONTACTED MAINT CTL WHO TOLD US THE FUELER AND OPS CANCELED THE FUEL PROB MAINT REQUIRED CODE FOR ELECTRONICS LOG. NOBODY INFORMED THE PLTS IT HAD BEEN CANCELED AND THE FUEL TANK STILL DID NOT READ FULL AS IT SHOULD HAVE. THIS IS THE SAFETY ISSUE: WE; THE PLTS; RPTED A DEFECT AND SOMEBODY CHANGED ITS STATUS WITHOUT NOTIFYING US. IF THE ISSUE HAD OCCURRED AND BEEN RESOLVED BEFORE OUR INVOLVEMENT; IT WOULD BE OK. HOWEVER; ONCE THE PLTS RPT SOMETHING; IT OUGHT TO SHOW UP ON THE MAINT RELEASE SO WE CAN KNOW IT WAS ADDRESSED.
