Narrative:
Captain flying; during takeoff out of dfw on the akuna 2 departure at rotate speed we had a master warning light indicating a fire detector loop light was on. The captain said that he will fly the airplane and take the radios and I was to work the checklist. As I was going through the checklist; ATC called and said 'you missed your turn.' I looked at the map display and confirmed his statement. I also noticed the autoplt was off. The captain requested vectors back on course and explained to ATC what was happening with the fire detector loop light. The departure controller said that there was no problem on his end and vectored us back on course. Supplemental information from acn 813674: I became distraction and flew the runway heading past the initial turn at navye on the akuna 2 RNAV departure. Fortunately; we were able to resolve the mechanical without having to declare an.
