Narrative:
On the midway 7 out of mdw. Was going faster than the 250 KTS buried in the notes at the top of the SID. ATC told us to slow down. We did. If there is going to be a speed restriction; don't bury it in the notes at the top of the SID. Put in plain view like every other SID when a certain speed is required; ie; 'maintain 250 KTS until advised;' in the body of the SID. The 250 KTS restriction should not be buried in the notes at the top of the midway 7 SID.

Title: AIR CARRIER FLIGHT CREW ON DEPARTURE FROM MDW EXPERIENCES A SPEED DEVIATION ON THE MIDWAY 7 SID. THE CAPTAIN CITES SPEED RESTRICTION 'BURIED' IN THE NOTES SECTION OF THE CHART AS CONTRIBUTORY.
Narrative: ON THE MIDWAY 7 OUT OF MDW. WAS GOING FASTER THAN THE 250 KTS BURIED IN THE NOTES AT THE TOP OF THE SID. ATC TOLD US TO SLOW DOWN. WE DID. IF THERE IS GOING TO BE A SPEED RESTRICTION; DON'T BURY IT IN THE NOTES AT THE TOP OF THE SID. PUT IN PLAIN VIEW LIKE EVERY OTHER SID WHEN A CERTAIN SPEED IS REQUIRED; IE; 'MAINTAIN 250 KTS UNTIL ADVISED;' IN THE BODY OF THE SID. THE 250 KTS RESTRICTION SHOULD NOT BE BURIED IN THE NOTES AT THE TOP OF THE MIDWAY 7 SID.
