Narrative:

Approaching ZZZ in the air tractor; I flew a normal downwind pattern and had looked into the sun for other traffic. On approximately 1/2 mile final to runway 18; I pushed the nose down more as I had made a power reduction and had full flaps out. When I pitched it down; in front of me was a retractable gear single that had been hidden by my wing or nose. Since I was pitched down and going faster than the other plane; I increased the descent and passed underneath the other plane. The nose of the air tractor was about under the other plane's left wingtip. I continued the descent and skidded to the left to maximize clearance and then I was well to the left of the runway; I could see tht the other plane was safely going around.
