Narrative:
While on taxiway at departure end to runway 27; I announced on the CTAF that I was departing runway 27 and staying in the pattern. At 200 ft MSL; I saw a helicopter cross the extended centerline of runway 27. The crossing helicopter intersected the runway extension at about a 45 degree angle left to right. I made a left crosswind turn at 200 ft MSL instead of a usual 400 ft MSL. I continued a usual approach; making a single call to the helicopter plot. There was no response.
