Narrative:

Prior to departing we had read of a write-up the day before stating; loud noise coming from captain side windows. It was cleared with a repair done to the direct vision window. On climb out we noticed a loud squeal coming from one of the captain's windows. The noise eventually cleared; and the flight continued normally. On descent the loud noise returned. At our destination we wrote up the aircraft. Maintenance noticed that all but 8 screws that held the windscreen in place were loose.callback conversation with reporter revealed the following information: reporter stated maintenance found all of the screws that attach the captain's forward windshield to the aircraft were loose; except for eight of them. Reporter stated this window mounts from the outside; not from the inside. He does not know what maintenance did to correct the problem. Whether they changed the window; changed the screws; or both; or just re-torqued the fasteners.
