Narrative:
Once we took runway and started takeoff roll in ZZZ I could not see upper ECAM screen without shading it. Any irregular or emergency would have required me or first officer to shield upper ECAM screen with a checklist; so we could read the procedure. Maintenance signed it off again. I can't believe the pilots on this fleet accepting this condition. What happened to finding a tool to read candle power on the crts?
Original NASA ASRS Text
Title: An A319 pilot comments that CRT readability is decreased during bright ambient light conditions. The air carrier maintenance did not replace the unreadable CRT.
