Narrative:
While conducting training in a citation the aircraft was cleared for takeoff and told to fly runway heading. As the aircraft reached V1 speed the crew noticed a tail dragger appear on the runway from the left to right as the aircraft is rotated. As the aircraft crossed underneath the citation; the instructor pilot keyed the microphone to the local controller advising that an aircraft just crossed the path of the departing citation. The local controller advised 'sorry.' had the takeoff roll been any greater in distance; a collision between the two aircraft would have occurred with the citation at maximum speed.
