Narrative:

Aircraft returned to the gate due to 'left generator drive' EICAS. Maintenance put approximately 5 quarts of oil into integrated drive generator. Aircraft dispatched to gig where it sat approximately 10 hours. On return flight with 4 hours left to ZZZ; left generator drive EICAS light came on; started APU; disconnected integrated drive generator; and continued to ZZZ with dispatch concurrence. My question is this: does maintenance requires a check of fluid levels after servicing after first leg is complete? I don't think this was done prior to our departure.
