Narrative:
I was on a long cross country flight from ZZZ1 to ZZZ2. While enroute; I heard an unusual sound and; as a precaution; I decided to land and inspect the aircraft at ZZZ2. At the time of landing at ZZZ; ATIS was reporting wind 340 degrees at 8 KTS and I was cleared to land on runway xxl at ZZZ around XA50L. Prior to landing; I asked for a wind check and tower reported wind is variable from 340 degrees to 060 degrees. Soon after touchdown; I drifted away to the grass area which was paralleling runway xxl at ZZZ. I had a feeling that the aircraft would roll over if I applied brake or use the rudder; so I kept the nosewheel up to avoid damage and did an after landing checklist right after. I reported to the ATC that I have drifted off from the runway and asked me that if I have major injuries and told that they will send help right away. Aircraft rescue arrived in 2 minutes after speaking to the ATC. They took me to a safe location and after reaching safely; I contacted ATC tower in ZZZ and explained everything and also contacted mr. X who owns the aircraft. Mechanics arrived and inspected the airplane and reported no damage and found aircraft airworthy. Had neither injuries nor any damage to the airport property or to the aircraft reported.
