Narrative:
Just prior to descent; ECAM message 'green hydraulic fluid low.' this was confirmed on hydraulic gauge and ECAM page. Completed checklists; notified dispatch; and declared an emergency with center. Requested arff equipment stand by. Landing was uneventful. Stopped aircraft on the runway and arff chief inspected aircraft and runway for fluids and none were found. Aircraft was towed to the gate as nosewheel steering was inoperative due to manual extension of the landing gear.

Title: A300 flight crew reports green hydraulic system failure at top of descent. ECAM procedures are complied with and an emergency is declared. After landing aircraft is towed to gate.
Narrative: Just prior to descent; ECAM message 'Green Hydraulic Fluid Low.' This was confirmed on hydraulic gauge and ECAM page. Completed checklists; notified Dispatch; and declared an emergency with Center. Requested ARFF equipment stand by. Landing was uneventful. Stopped aircraft on the runway and ARFF Chief inspected aircraft and runway for fluids and none were found. Aircraft was towed to the gate as nosewheel steering was inoperative due to manual extension of the landing gear.
