Narrative:
The marine palms TACAN (nxp) is similar in sound to tnp VORTAC. At one time they were the same, but the name change was not dramatic enough. As a result, 2 aircraft just today deviated significantly from their flight plans to cause concern due to the R2501 complex. Nobody wants to fix the problem.
