I believe that I overlooked that the yaw damper switches were installed in reverse order (backwards). I flew this same plane 2 days later; and noticed that the yaw dampers would not engage properly.

Title: A Captain reports he noticed the Yaw Dampers would not engage properly when he was flying a CRJ-900. The Yaw Damper switches were found to be installed in reverse order (backwards).
Narrative: I believe that I overlooked that the yaw damper switches were installed in reverse order (backwards). I flew this same plane 2 days later; and noticed that the yaw dampers would not engage properly.
