Narrative:
We were on the return leg to iad; and cleared for the visual approach to runway 19R; the new runway at iad; which neither of us had landed on before. The first officer was the pilot flying and I was the pilot not flying. The first officer has extensive experience in the B777; mostly international. On short final to runway 19R; we were on profile and cleared to land. At approximately 500 ft we got the egpws caution 'too low terrain;' repeated a number of times. We both verified our position; and we were on PAPI and GS; and saw nothing that should have caused the aural warning. We continued a normal approach and landing without incident. The ILS runway 19R was in the FMC and was loaded. We could only guess that the runway was not in the egpws database. This anomaly should be investigated and corrected.
