Narrative:
Aircraft X departed rsw approach controlled airspace on the cshel departure and was cleared to 17;000 ft. At some point; the flight plan was removed from the system by someone at a non-operational position. This caused the data block to drop off the radar screen and the flight plan to be removed from the system at ZMA as well as the immediately adjacent sector in ZJX. The aircraft filed for FL400 and requested higher; alerting the radar team to the problem. There was a limited data block (mode C and transponder code only) to assure radar identification. The flight plan had to be retrieved from the supervisor's work station and rapidly put back in the system as the aircraft was rapidly approaching the ARTCC boundary.
