B757 flight attendant reports over-heated oven in flight which emits heavy smoke when door is opened...

Narrative:

I was flying as flight attendant #3 on this flight. I noticed something unusual with the oven when I warmed the meals. I checked it later; and heavy smoke came out of the oven and the side walls turned into red. The heat that came from the oven was very intense. Flight attendant #1 and I took care of the situation immediately. She called the cockpit while I donned a pbe and took a halon extinguisher. I used the halon in the oven; and this action cooled it down very fast. Smoke was everywhere in the forward part of the aircraft. We left the oven door open the rest of the flight to have a view of interior that was almost burning. We landed safely at destination.
