Narrative:
During a repositioning flight from I encountered a severe vibration in the engine and loss of power. I declared a mayday and spoke with two airline pilots advising them I was likely going to make a precautionary landing possibly on the highway. I found a small-uncharted dirt strip at the corner of two highways. I set down on the dirt strip with no damage to the aircraft or injury.
