Narrative:
I picked up my clearance via pre departure clearance; which was; cleared as filed. I actually scanned right over the departure because it read dal worth and I thought that meant the clearance came through center. The sic asked me if we had a departure out of dal and I confidently said no. We received clearance for takeoff and when airborne were given a heading toward a fix on the worth departure and told to navigate direct to that fix. I told the controller that we weren't given the departure on the pre departure clearance and he asked if our company had filed the flight plan using the departure; and I said yes. We added the departure and flew direct to the assigned fix; and continued the flight normally. During that departure from dal we remained in the ATC designated airspace at all times via radar vectors through ATC. I believe that the dal worth portion (the first words in the clearance) contributed to my error in misreading it. Perhaps a change in the departures' name may result in less confusion or errors.
Original NASA ASRS Text
Title: Corporate jet flight crew failed to note that the word 'worth' in their PDC clearance referred to the WORTH RNAV SID; not to the worth as in Dallas; Fort Worth. Track deviation resulted until Departure Controller corrected the error.
