Narrative:
I was working local control and taxied large transport Y into position and hold on runway 13R. After the preceding aircraft taxied off the runway, I cleared large transport Y for takeoff, then told small transport X to taxi into position and hold runway 13R. Large transport Y then came back and said, 'we aborted, an small transport X just entered the runway.' I called small transport X and he acknowledged and said that he was cleared to taxi into position and hold (small transport X was at PA intersection). I told small transport X to taxi off the runway. Large transport Y also requested to taxi off the runway to go back to his terminal to check for hot brakes. After reviewing the tapes I found out that small transport X was instructed to follow large transport Y for the full length by ground control. But, he did call me once and in his transmission to me he stated that he was at PA intersection.

Title: SMT CLEARED INTO POSITION ON RWY AT INTERSECTION WITH LGT ON TKOF ROLL CAUSING LGT TO ABORT TKOF.
Narrative: I WAS WORKING LCL CTL AND TAXIED LGT Y INTO POS AND HOLD ON RWY 13R. AFTER THE PRECEDING ACFT TAXIED OFF THE RWY, I CLRED LGT Y FOR TKOF, THEN TOLD SMT X TO TAXI INTO POS AND HOLD RWY 13R. LGT Y THEN CAME BACK AND SAID, 'WE ABORTED, AN SMT X JUST ENTERED THE RWY.' I CALLED SMT X AND HE ACKNOWLEDGED AND SAID THAT HE WAS CLRED TO TAXI INTO POS AND HOLD (SMT X WAS AT PA INTXN). I TOLD SMT X TO TAXI OFF THE RWY. LGT Y ALSO REQUESTED TO TAXI OFF THE RWY TO GO BACK TO HIS TERMINAL TO CHK FOR HOT BRAKES. AFTER REVIEWING THE TAPES I FOUND OUT THAT SMT X WAS INSTRUCTED TO FOLLOW LGT Y FOR THE FULL LENGTH BY GND CTL. BUT, HE DID CALL ME ONCE AND IN HIS XMISSION TO ME HE STATED THAT HE WAS AT PA INTXN.
