Narrative:
After the forecast for an alternate was amended it was no longer legal. I amended the 3 flights I had that had ACARS with a new alternate. I then sent a message to commercial radio requesting a phone patch with a non-ACARS flight. I told commercial radio where the aircraft was and what would be the next point they would be over. I never received a phone patch; I then tried calling the aircraft once it was at another location on the company frequency 3 times. The crew never made an in-range call and I was not able to amend the release before they arrived at destination.
