Narrative:
Was single pilot IFR flight plan. I was cleared for the visual approach; landed uneventfully; and taxied to the ramp; where I discovered the FBO was closed at this non-towered airport. I was supposed to pick up a rental car from the FBO and the fact that they were closed distracted me from closing my flight plan. I was notified of this and called the FSS to close the plan. I was not reminded to close my flight plan on clearance for a visual approach. I will add closing flight plan to my shut down checklist from here on.
