Narrative:
Descending thru FL240 notified by flight attendants in aft cabin that they thought we had had a lightning strike in aft of aircraft right side. We felt or heard nothing in cockpit but at the same time we did lose our weather radar...all other systems operated normally for the remainder of the flight. On the ground post flight inspection found a quarter size chip missing from the 5 o'clock position looking at the aft of the #2 engine tailpipe. Notified maintenance.
