Narrative:
During climbout at about FL280; we got a 'right fuel strainer clogging' light. Complied with the appropriate checklist. Light did not go out with throttle in idle; but all other engine parameters were normal including oil pressure and temperature. Returned to our departure airport. Declared an emergency due to an overweight landing. Our landing was 135;000 pounds. Uneventful landing. Shut down right engine after appropriate cool down. Taxied to gate. Arff followed us to gate.
