Narrative:
Ground equipment was parked over both safety lines. There was a 'train' of cart dollies over the right line and a large loader over the left line. Stopped aircraft 90 degrees to run in line and asked ramp control to post wing walkers or move the equipment. Eight minutes later the equipment was moved. Powered up aircraft and began turn on to the run in line. 45 degrees through the turn a golf cart drove from left to right under the nose of the aircraft with the two occupants looking at each other in conversation! Aircraft was stopped until the first officer reported the golf cart clear of the safety zone.
