Narrative:
This is a case where two people didn't make the difference. Taxi instructions were issued to us, 'taxi to runway 3L and hold short of wolf' which was acknowledged by the first officer and missed by me. When I asked the first officer if we were cleared to the runway or did they (ground) want us to hold somewhere, he replied, 'oh no, we're cleared all the way.' well, passing wolf, I was informed of my mistake. The first officer was embarrassed that he emphatically called it wrong. The lesson here is be certain of your instructions prior to acknowledgement. Also, if one of the crew members is uncertain, clarify it with the proper ATC agency. To err is human, that's why we have more than one person in the cockpit. The fact that 'wolf' doesn't appear on the commercial chart airport diagram didn't help either.

Title: MLG ACR TAXIING TO RWY 3L INSTRUCTED TO HOLD SHORT OF WOLF TXWY. FLC MISUNDERSTOOD AND PROCEEDED PAST TXWY WOLF. TXWY WOLF NOT DEPICTED ON COMMERCIAL CHART.
Narrative: THIS IS A CASE WHERE TWO PEOPLE DIDN'T MAKE THE DIFFERENCE. TAXI INSTRUCTIONS WERE ISSUED TO US, 'TAXI TO RWY 3L AND HOLD SHORT OF WOLF' WHICH WAS ACKNOWLEDGED BY THE F/O AND MISSED BY ME. WHEN I ASKED THE F/O IF WE WERE CLRED TO THE RWY OR DID THEY (GND) WANT US TO HOLD SOMEWHERE, HE REPLIED, 'OH NO, WE'RE CLRED ALL THE WAY.' WELL, PASSING WOLF, I WAS INFORMED OF MY MISTAKE. THE F/O WAS EMBARRASSED THAT HE EMPHATICALLY CALLED IT WRONG. THE FACT THAT 'WOLF' DOESN'T APPEAR ON THE COMMERCIAL CHART ARPT DIAGRAM DIDN'T HELP EITHER.
