Narrative:
During taxi the first officer and I both noticed a burning/smoke odor. The flight attendants then reported the cabin filling with smoke. I stopped the aircraft; found the emergency procedures/immediate action card and began the emergency evacuation checklist. The flight attendants evacuated all the passengers through the main cabin door. There were no injuries. Shortly thereafter airport emergency vehicles arrived and inspected the aircraft. All passengers were transported to the terminal via airport vehicles. The aircraft was towed to a remote area. The event was caused by an unknown failure of the right air conditioning pack.
