Narrative:
We were 'parked' on taxiway M facing eastbound holding short of M3 (which is a forward high speed turn off from runway 10) due to our gate being occupied after our gate opened up. Ord ground instructed us 'give way to a 767 and taxi M; left on F to gate.' we saw a 767 on B westbound approaching taxiway F. I slowly started to move forward when all of the sudden and to our surprise; another 767 appeared from our 6 o'clock position rolling out onto M3 just in front of us. Obviously it just had landed on runway 10. ATC should be more precise when communicating and slow down their speech. Ord ATC also calls airplanes non-standard communication link: 'follow the gray top' or 'guppy' or 'white over blue' when giving instructions. Ord ATC is fast; but unsafe; at times. Too many short cuts and non-standard communications for ord ATC.

Title: Air carrier holding for gate voiced concern regarding ATC handling claiming ORD Ground Controllers need to be more precise in their instructions and refrain from using non-standard phraseology when issuing instructions.
