Narrative:
After landing we discovered that an extra cargo igloo was on the aircraft that was not accounted for on our weight & balance numbers. I contacted operations and determined that the extra igloo put us 3500 pounds over our structural landing limit. I then notified dispatch and maintenance control to arrange for contract maintenance to do the required inspection for a smooth normal overweight landing inspection. Also dispatch was informed of the incident at that time. I'm not sure but I think this was obviously a mix up in communication between ramp personnel and central load planning.
