Narrative:
Departing out of psp; we were given the cathedral nine departure; runway 31L. The teardrop turn back over psp VOR was not depicted in the gfms. After crossing the psp VOR; we proceeded on V370. Due to being at a very light takeoff weight we made the crossing restriction at psp VOR.

Title: Flying the Cathedral Nine SID from PSP; an MD80 flight crew failed to fly the required teardrop maneuver prior to proceeding on V370.
Narrative: Departing out of PSP; we were given the Cathedral Nine departure; Runway 31L. The teardrop turn back over PSP VOR was not depicted in the GFMS. After crossing the PSP VOR; we proceeded on V370. Due to being at a very light takeoff weight we made the crossing restriction at PSP VOR.
