Narrative:
While on climbout; using the assigned teterboro 6 SID; I was told by the controller that I may have climbed from 1500 to 2000 prior to the 4.5 DME arc. I was using my map on the pfd for the DME 4.5 point and thought I had it right. I am not sure if I was off laterally by .1 miles or more; he did not say. I think the error; if I did make one; was using the map on the mfd as my reference. I have done this many times before without any problems.
Original NASA ASRS Text
Title: SR22 pilot uses his map display to estimate the 4.5 DME arc during the TEB6 SID and apparently climbed to two thousand feet early; according to the N90 Controller.
