Narrative:
Another report on the flight attendant call alarm interrupting radio calls. Two calls were interrupted within 10 minutes. I have been told several times that the volume on the 'alarm' is factory set; but I do not believe the volume levels are the same in different aircraft. One of the interruptions today resulted in having ATC repeat an altitude assignment. In a busy ATC environment; having a loud flight attendant 'alarm' sound for a full second is always annoying and can be very dangerous.
