Narrative:

I was flying for my company and the engine fire annunciator illuminated in flight. I shut down an engine and requested immediate vectors to nearest airport. As I shut down the engine; I was unable to maintain my altitude and I may have deviated (slightly) off course. I did not declare an emergency however; I estimate that the controller's declared one for me. I was exceptionally busy and focused on staying safe; flying the plane and navigating to the nearby airport for a safe landing. I landed without incident.
