Narrative:
I was unaware that there was an open discrepancy in the logbook. The forward galley coffee pot was listed as inop. Maintenance was notified and inspected the coffee pot in ZZZ. The maintenance person was also not aware of the discrepancy. I believe that we both missed it because for some reason there were 2 separate logbooks in the aluminum logbook holder. I review the flight log by starting at the fold over page with the maintenance codes on it and working my way to the front of the book. There were approximately six sheets between the one fold over and another one that I was not aware of. When I was airborne; I pulled the logbook out to review it again concerning another previous discrepancy. That is when I noticed the pages located between the two folding code pages. That is when I noticed the open coffee pot discrepancy. We notified our arrival city maintenance enroute. Upon arrival; maintenance closed the discrepancy.
