Narrative:
I was working in the hanger and was replacing the #3 and #4 tires on a B737-700. Since I was not using the tire cart (which I normally lean the removed tires against); I leaned the removed tires against the #2 engine outboard thrust reverser. After installing the tires; I forgot about the tires still leaning against #2 outboard thurst reverser and lowered the aircraft against the tires resulting in damage to the #2 engine outboard thrust reverser sleeve.

Title: A Line Mechanic reports that after he replaced the #3 and #4 main tires on a B737-700 and lowered the aircraft; the #2 engine outboard thrust reverser sleeve was damaged because he failed to remember he had positioned the worn tires against the reverser sleeve.
