Narrative:
During maintenance testing; while taxiing an emb-145 aircraft; the cabin filled with smoke at ZZZ airport.caps were not removed before installing v-clamps; in accordance with (in accordance with) emb-145 amm 36-11-04 part I; step 7.maintenance complied with an engineering order (eo) chapter 36-00-04 for the bleed servo line restrictor and damper removal & cleaning. Operational checks good.emb-145 amm reference 36-11-04; is not accurate in the procedures for installation. Pre -cooler must be placed in pylon with ducts in order to install. Pre-cooler can not be pre-assembled before installation.

Title: A Line Mechanic reports an EMB/ERJ-145 cabin filled with smoke during maintenance testing and taxiing after a pre-cooler was replaced. Protective end caps had not been removed from the Pre-cooler prior to connecting pneumatic ducts to the Pre-cooler; during installation in the engine pylon.
