Narrative:
My screen printer shut down and I was unaware of messages sent by flight X while holding for phl. Screen printer is where dispatch receives all ACARS messages. I also had several other messages from other flights that were unanswered during this time period. Dispatch has no indication that screen printer is not working and it is our primary means of communication with out flights. I later got the screen printer restarted.

Title: Dispatcher described failed communications with ACARS; noting several missed messages; adding the failed equipment had no indication that a malfunction was occurring.
Narrative: My screen printer shut down and I was unaware of messages sent by FLT X while holding for PHL. Screen printer is where dispatch receives all ACARS messages. I also had several other messages from other flights that were unanswered during this time period.
