Narrative:

After departing teb runway 24 via the Ruudy2 SID we followed the FMS guidance to wentz intersection. I thought I observed crossing the wentz intersection at 1500 msl then continued the climb to 2000 msl. Departure queried us about what altitude we were at. We responded that we were at 2000 ft msl. ATC then stated 'were you given the Ruudy2 departure?'; we stated yes. ATC then stated that we needed to look at it again. We began to review the chart confused at what we may have missed. I then queried the controller if he was stating that we didn't cross wentz at 1500 msl. He answered in the affirmative. I then stated; according to my FMS/GPS we did cross at 1500 and he stated that is impossible. We were then given a new heading and altitude. There was no incident or near miss.
