Narrative:

Air carrier X on final runway 28L mentioned the close proximity of air carrier Y joining final runway 28R.when I focused on the two aircraft; it appeared that air carrier Y was converging on the maneuver to join final. This is very usual and expected during the operation. I explained the runway close proximity; and requested the pilot intentions. With nothing further said; I continued with other traffic. I next observed air carrier X going around. Both aircraft called the flm and discussed the event. Recommendation; I would recommend specific training for aircrews flying into airports dealing with TCAS RA's and closely spaced finals and departures. There has to be a way to convey this useful information so that less people are caught off guard.
