Narrative:
Our flight was originally cleared for a visual approach to 8L in miami. We were also informed that we were following a 757 to 8L. We were ask more than 10 miles out to side step to 8R and cleared for the visual approach. We were also told to look for a corporate jet on a high left down wind for 8L. Both aircraft called the other in sight and continued on the approach. We passed ahead of the aircraft as they were turning base to final. The aircraft at that time was above us and slower. I was surprised to look at the first officer's TCAS and see the corporate aircraft closing on us behind and to the left. I was very uncomfortable to see the altitudes match via TCAS and looked left to see the aircraft slightly behind at our altitude and closing. I asked the tower how close he was and tower said that we were both cleared for the visual approach. We were offered a go around but the other aircraft was slightly above and behind me... Afraid that any difficulty during a go around might push me closer. I had heard another company aircraft cleared to take off on 8R but the crew radioed back that they were holding on 12.... They were cleared for takeoff. I was not sure what type aircraft because of attention to aircraft to our left... But I knew someone was taking off ahead and to my right. I remembered the comment about the 757 but thought he had taken off 8R. I was concerned about going around into the wake of the other aircraft. We did move slightly right of course to give some room to the corporate aircraft and continued to land. I did mention on tower frequency that I thought he was way too close. We landed with out further incident. Tower after landing said that the centerline of the runways is 800ft. I really feel that it was the intent of the other aircraft crew to tease or play with the crew and passengers of our aircraft. He had to have sped up to catch us. Flying in the navy in close formation is different than having a corporate aircraft join up with an airliner. It was not safe. Maybe this is the way that they do things in miami. But if either aircraft had any flight control problem; if either aircraft had a power plant issue... If either aircraft would have hit the wake of the 757 the flight could have ended very differently. Flights on close runways need to be staggered even when cleared for a visual approach.

Title: An air carrier Captain on approach to MIA 8R reported that a Corporate Aircraft on a parallel visual approach to 8L appeared to intentionally fly in close formation with his aircraft during the approach.
