Narrative:

We were at FL370 for about 10 minutes before the flight attendant called and told us there is an odor in the back between rows 5 to 8 and nothing after row 9 and the smell stayed in that area. The captain declared an emergency and we descended down to land at ZZZ. Captain told ATC to have the crash fire rescue equipment for us when we land. Upon landing in ZZZ we pulled off the runway and had the crash fire rescue equipment board the plane to make sure everything was good in the back. That time the odor has dissipated where you couldn't smell it; but they could smell a trace of it. At that time they told us we could taxi to the gate. We taxied to the gate without any other problems.
