During flap extension from position 1 to 5; te flap disagree light illuminated with associated EICAS message. Completed associated QRH procedures. Contacted dispatch and maintenance control. Notified flight attendants (cabin advisory) and passengers. Declared emergency with dispatch and ATC; due to higher than normal approach speed. Landing and taxi in was uneventful.

Title: B767 Captain reports TE FLAP DISAGREE light during approach. After complying with QRH procedures an emergency is declared and an uneventful partial flap landing ensues.
