Narrative:
Aircraft already gave us some problems at the gate with the prv status message a few placards as a result of the high pressure shutoff valve (hpsov) also on the right side. After those items were resolved we finally go pushed and taxied to the runway. We were cleared for takeoff. Just before V1 the captain ADI had all flags for a second or two and then they were gone. During the early climb we noticed that we had the left generator 'off' light and left 'drive' lights. We told the controller we wanted to return. I accomplished the quick reference handbook checklist and contacted dispatch. We landed uneventfully below max landing weight.
