Narrative:
I was saying goodbye to the passengers at the door when a deplaning passenger complained of loud air noise at overwing exit. A second passenger confirmed the noise. After all passengers were deplaned; I went back to look at it and decided to reseat the handle. I pulled the exit handle slightly out of position and tried to replace it; but it would not reseat. I then noticed the overwing slide had deployed.
