Narrative:

I flew into mmun yesterday for the first time since all the new arrivals came out. I had been warned on my previous flight by a captain that mmun was a mess. They have devised an arrival procedure with commercial chart 1 company that I have never seen before. On top of this; they give instructions that ask you to deviate; and then return to the published procedure numerous times during the arrival. We received a clearance to descend to a specific altitude then turn right about 60 degrees. Then the controller says after reaching this heading wait 3 minutes and then turn direct to a fix. This type of clearance is just asking for a mid-air. CFIT (not so much in mmun) or flight deviation. I know we cannot go down to mexico and start changing things but maybe a bulletin telling mmun pilots to be ready for a goat rope.
