Narrative:
The part was removed by third shift. They requested the part from aircraft on ground (aog) stores. The part came in that morning. I looked into the illustrated parts catalog (ipc) and did a supplemental search on the part. The part was the right effectivity for the emb-145 aircraft. The part number (P/north) was not legible on the original part. The part was damaged and burnt up. When I filled out the non-routine card where the part number goes; by mistake I put the same part number in the part 'on' and part 'off 'section. I should have put 'not legible' on the part 'off '.the aircraft had an MEL on the potable water because of a leak. The tube connected to the heating assembly was cracked and needed to be replaced. The heating assembly was damaged; burnt and the threads were stripped; so it also needed replaced. I think we need more information about the effectivity of these parts.

Narrative: The part was removed by third shift. They requested the part from Aircraft on Ground (AOG) Stores. The part came in that morning. I looked into the Illustrated Parts Catalog (IPC) and did a Supplemental search on the part. The part was the right Effectivity for the EMB-145 aircraft. The Part Number (P/N) was not legible on the original part. The part was damaged and burnt up. When I filled out the Non-routine Card where the Part Number goes; by mistake I put the same Part Number in the part 'On' and part 'Off 'section.
