Narrative:
Departed roseburg municipal IFR runway 16 west/O finding takeoff minimums, however did look. Finding it later in the govt IAP book was a surprise. I asked center if he was going to vector me. He asked if I was going to fly the published departure. I then turned left to the 343 degree right in lieu of a right turn as published. At first I blamed the book, however I knew there should be a departure and where to find it. Won't make this mistake again.
